ABOUT USThe Morgan Family on TourWe lived in the beautiful town of Santa Paula, California for over 30 years. It's a citrus farming community about an hour north of Los Angeles. Dad retired in 2016 to become a full-time writer. On January, 29, 2017 we loaded our camping gear into a 30-foot travel trailer and headed out on a six-month adventure throughout the western United States. We have named this adventure the Caves, Ghost Towns, and Dinosaurs Tour. Caves, because we will be exploring a number of natural caves and caverns (such as Kartchner Caverns and Crystal Cave)--Ghost Towns, because we will be studying humanity's anthropological footprint (Mesa Verde, Bodie, etc.)--and Dinosaurs, because we will be investigating nature's ancient fossil record (Dinosaur National Monument, Petrified Forest National Park, and more). We'll be seeing and doing a great deal more than those activities, of course, but Caves, Ghost Towns, and Dinosaurs encapsulates three of the major educational themes of our journey.
Oh, and we recently moved to McKinney, Texas--a big change for us (no more beach visits--boo.) We'd like you to know what we're up to. Come back often and visit our blog. We will be posting frequently--limited only to WiFi availability. |
